No script. No rails. No cloud.
An interactive-fiction game whose AI runs entirely on the player's PC. You are the narrator; the cast improvises around anything — and every interaction drives the Closed Loop.
You are the narrator of a story no one wrote.
In s[TOR-Y]telling: Closed Loop, a local large language model — running entirely on the player's machine, with no cloud, no account, and no internet required — plays every character and improvises the entire story in response to whatever the player does. There is no script and no rails. Talk your way out of a Yakuza interrogation by insisting you're Santa Claus. Adopt a mischievous cat. Challenge a berserker barbarian to a bake-off. Whatever you throw at the cast, the AI continues — in character.
Then invite company. Stage ensembles of up to nine s[TOR-Y]s who reply to the player and to each other. Play online in Party Mode (every player their own inhabitant of the scene) or Free Mode (rival events, table votes, winner drives), with full cross-play between Windows, Linux, and Mac. Streaming? The Twitch and YouTube audience plays along with !story. Create new characters from a one-line concept. And all along, the sandbox is quietly feeding a hand-authored visual-novel campaign: your interactions drive which paths open — that's the Closed Loop.
The first genuinely fun consumer showcase for local AI — a polished "it just works" product for the thing the local-LLM community already loves doing by hand.
Muted loops, captured in-game. Right-click any clip to save it — all footage is real gameplay: every AI line was generated by the game itself.

Multiplayer guests need no GPU at all — the AI runs on the host's machine, so any 64-bit PC with 8 GB RAM can join a session. Single-player and hosting recommend a 12 GB VRAM GPU (RTX 3060-class). The game detects the hardware and scales.
You are welcome to publish and monetize videos, streams, and screenshots of s[TOR-Y]telling: Closed Loop on any platform — no permission needed, and this page's assets are provided for exactly that. Player-driven AI text can go anywhere the player steers it; the game ships with transparent, on-device safety filtering, and mature themes are disclosed on the Steam page (rated ClassInd 16 / USK 16).
Curious Biped is a solo studio from Brazil, founded by a computer-graphics and AI researcher. s[TOR-Y]telling: Closed Loop is its debut — a bet on a simple idea: that the first great consumer use of local AI isn't productivity, it's entertainment. Everything in the game runs on the player's own hardware, offline and private.
